1965.
Barristers Chambers Limited leased the first six floors of 127
Phillip Street. This was named Forbes Chambers after the first NSW
Chief Justice.
1972.
Members of Barristers Chambers Limited formed the present
cooperative society, Barristers Services Co-operative Limited,
leasing floors at 233 Macquarie Street. The new chambers were named
Frederick Jordan Chambers.
1993.
Frederick Jordan Chambers moved to the present location, 53 Martin
Place.
Currently.
Frederick Jordan Chambers has over 100 barristers of whom a quarter
are women. In addition we offer places to 6 readers. The chambers have always provided service in
a wide range of jurisdictions. Members have been appointed to the
Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, Federal Court, Family Court, Land
and Environment Court, Industrial Relations Commission and District
Court, among others.
